Located on roughly six hectares on Kalagala Island, Wildwaters Lodge lies on a unique private island mid-stream within the mighty River Nile in Uganda: around 25km downstream from Jinja in eastern Uganda. It’s in a sublime location and only reached by boat which makes it a very adventurous place to stay. It is uniquely perched on granite rocks with dramatic and exciting rapids roaring all around.
Visits to the island are limited to overnight stays, however, with Adrift Adventures we have designed a lunch experience on the private island.
The sounds on the mighty Nile are quite hypnotic and calming so Wildwaters offers an experience for all the senses.
Return boat transfers, entry fees to the WWL reserve. 3 course meal (excluding beverages), 1 bottle of house wine per table, swimming pool use.
Lunch guests are welcome on the Island between 10:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Lunch is served from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Pre-booking and pre payment is required.
Without a confirmed lunch reservation, access to the island will be denied for safety and security reasons
No children under 16 years are allowed on the island
In order to safeguard the natural inhabitants on the island, NO food or drink is allowed to be brought onto the island.
Pets are strictly not allowed.
Words aren't enough to explain it but it's was very fantastic right from the boat rider very welcoming guys, then food and drinks were so so delicious and tasty , then the hospitality and warm reception plus care from Harrigton, Armstrong and Brendah . Just know those guys were amazing. Then the overland camp guys Luuka and Patrick they were so friendly and help me out on everything I need . Keep it up Lemala. My lunch at Wild waters was a peaceful and elegant experience. Staff are very receptive, and mindful of their customers; felt like home away from home. The food was delicious with a perfect balance of ingredients and flavors; none outdid the other. The portions were generous but not overwhelming. And the plating was a feast for the eyes. A lunch that will linger in my mind; not just for what I ate, but for how I felt; satisfied, seen, and stilled. I cannot wait to be back. Take all your 5stars, please. - Joan

As always the lunch and time spent at Wild Waters was absolutely brilliant. The unique environment, sat in the middle of the rapids is amazing and the water rushing by seems to take the accumulated stress away with it. It is a truly rejuvenating experience. Lunch was, as ever delicious and the service without fault. I cannot recommend highly enough the lunch experience - it's a perfect treat for anyone! Look forward to returning soon. - Michael
