Private Island Lunch @ Wildwaters Lodge

Activity Description

Located on roughly six hectares on Kalagala Island, Wildwaters Lodge lies on a unique private island mid-stream within the mighty River Nile in Uganda: around 25km downstream from Jinja in eastern Uganda. It’s in a sublime location and only reached by boat which makes it a very adventurous place to stay. It is uniquely perched on granite rocks with dramatic and exciting rapids roaring all around.

Visits to the island are limited to overnight stays, however, with Adrift Adventures we have designed a lunch experience on the private island.
The sounds on the mighty Nile are quite hypnotic and calming so Wildwaters offers an experience for all the senses.

WeatherIt is summer all year-round in Uganda. We welcome guests in all weather conditions, except the boat cannot operate in gail force winds and thunderstorms.
What to WearLight clothing, shorts & t-shirt are ideal. Sunscreen & a sun hat or cap. Swimwear neccessary for pool access
Things to BringDon't forget to bring your camera to capture the beautiful scenery and precious moments. *Suncream • Any medication you require. • Money for any optional spa treatments or curios. To preserve the serene atmosphere of our island and efficiently manage our limited space, we kindly request that day guests avoid bringing large suitcases. We encourage the use of small handbags for essentials, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone, especially when handling in-house guests’ luggage. Additionally, please note that our facilities include only two restrooms and no changing rooms. To maintain the comfort and privacy of all guests, we kindly ask that personal belongings not be left in public areas.

Inclusions

Return boat transfers, entry fees to the WWL reserve. 3 course meal (excluding beverages), 1 bottle of house wine per table, swimming pool use.
Lunch guests are welcome on the Island between 10:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Lunch is served from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

ExclusionsBeverages, spa treatments and curios are payable directly at the lodge.

Notes

Pre-booking and pre payment is required.
Without a confirmed lunch reservation, access to the island will be denied for safety and security reasons
No children under 16 years are allowed on the island
In order to safeguard the natural inhabitants on the island, NO food or drink is allowed to be brought onto the island.
Pets are strictly not allowed.
